New PhD Student: Farid Tasharofi
Farid Tasharofi earned his Master’s degree in Medical Engineering with a focus on Medical Image and Data Processing from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in January 2025. He previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Control Systems).
In February 2025, he joined the Pattern Recognition Lab as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Andreas Maier. His research, conducted in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers in Forchheim, focuses on Photon-Counting X-Ray-Based AI Analysis of Atherosclerosis.
