New PhD Student: Daiqi Liu
Daiqi Liu received his Master’s degree in Medical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Since April 2025, he has been pursuing a Ph.D. at the Pattern Recognition Lab, under the supervision of Dr.-Ing. Paula Andrea Pérez Toro and Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Andreas Maier.
His research is centered on developing AI-driven methods for analyzing articulatory movements. Specifically, he focuses on segmenting articulators and utilizing multimodal techniques to enable precise and dynamic modeling of the vocal tract.
