New PhD Student: Adarsh Raghunath

Adarsh Raghunath holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Manipal University, Manipal, India. He then went on to receieve his master’s degree in Medical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined the Pattern Recognition Lab from August 2024 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Andreas Maier.

His research project is in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, Erlangen. The main focus of the project is on the development of a personalized digital twin of the heart using both data-driven and simulation based approaches.
