New PhD student
Saahil Islam received his Master’s degree in Computational Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined the Pattern Recognition Lab in April 2022 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier. His research project is funded by Pattern Recognition Lab and Siemens Healthineers. His research focuses on Self-supervised learning approaches on large scale medical data of various modalities to increase accuracy and robustness in Image-Guided Therapy tasks.
