New PhD student
Maximilian Rohleder received his Bachelor’s and Master’ degree in Medical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. He joins the Pattern Recognition Lab starting in January 2022 as a Ph.D. Candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier. In collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, Mobile C-Arms he investigates methods to improve X-Ray based imaging during the surgical procedure. In particular, he applies simulation technologies and learning based segmentation methods to reduce and avoid the severity of metal artefacts.
