FAU and West China Hospital sign strategic partnership at KI Park Berlin

We are pleased to announce the signing of a strategic partnership between Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and West China Hospital (WCH) on September 25, 2025, at KI Park Berlin.

The ceremony was followed by a joint scientific workshop, where both institutions presented their cutting-edge research — from clinical immunotherapy to AI for medical imaging and medical AI. After years of successful project-based collaborations, FAU and WCH will now strengthen their cooperation through a long-term strategic alliance.

The Pattern Recognition Lab was represented by Prof. Andreas Maier, Dr. Paula Andrea Pérez Toro, Dr. Tomaz Arias Vergara, and Dr.-Ing. Siming Bayer, who met with the WCH delegation to discuss future directions for joint research and innovation.

We are excited to continue advancing translational medical AI and fostering international collaboration with one of China’s leading medical research institutions.
