The Pattern Recognition Lab is delighted to welcome students to the summer term 2026. Once again, the strong interest in our courses highlights the continued enthusiasm for machine learning, artificial intelligence, language technologies, medical imaging, and modern software development across our student community.
This summer, 700 students enrolled in Deep Learning, while Deep Learning for Beginners attracted 114 participants. Introduction to Machine Learning welcomed 626 students, and Modern Natural Language Processing was chosen by 217 students. Pattern Analysis reached 695 enrollments, Projekt Flat-Panel CT Reconstruction brought together 28 students, and Speech and Language Understanding counted 381 participants. Our new offering Vibe Coding: Software Engineering with LLMs started with 191 students.
Across these courses alone, the lab welcomes 2,952 students in the summer term 2026. Including approximately 100 additional students in seminars not listed here, the total number of students learning with the Pattern Recognition Lab this term is around 3,052.
We are grateful for this remarkable interest and excited to begin another semester of teaching, research-driven learning, and interdisciplinary exchange. We wish all our students a successful start to the term and look forward to exploring the foundations and frontiers of pattern recognition together.
