DFG & AHRC funds “Werck der Bücher”
We are pleased that the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the British Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funds the project ›Werck der Bücher‹ – Transitions, Experimentation, and Collaboration in Reprographic Technologies, 1440–1470 . It is a 3 year project analyzing early technologies of print between 1440 and 1470 using both experimental approaches and computational methods.
This project is a joint project with our long-year collaborators from the Gutenberg Institute for World Literature and Written Media (JGU Mainz), Section Book Studies (Nikolaus Weichselbaumer), the history department of the University of Manchester (Stephen Mossman and Ed Potten), and the Pattern Recognition Lab, FAU (Vincent Christlein).
