New PhD student
Luis Carlos Rivera received his Master’s degree in Medical Engineering, branch of Medical Image and Data Processing, from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined the Pattern Recognition Lab in November 2020 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier. His Ph.D. research project focusses on cancer detection using plasma biomarkers on extracellular vesicle plasma. The project will be carried out in cooperation with the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen – Laboratory of Systems Tumor Immunology lead by Prof. Dr. Julio Vera.
