New PhD student

Mareike Thies joined the Pattern Recognition Lab in November 2020 as a PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Andreas Maier. She will be working on a project aiming at very high-resolution imaging of bones using X-ray microscopy techniques. Mareike’s research interests are CT image reconstruction and motion compensation combining deep learning approaches and traditional algorithms. Previously, Mareike received her master’s degree in Medical Engineering from FAU in October 2020.
