On December 19th, Prof. Colin Studholme from the University of Washington will give a talk in our lab.

Title: Big Data From Small Brains: Computational Methods in Studies of Human Fetal Brain Development
Time: 13:00 on December 19th
Room: H10

Abstract:
This talk will cover some of the problem areas and computational techniques being explored to enable larger scale studies of human fetal brain development using MRI. The talk will cover problems of image formation and motion correction, automated image segmentation and parcellation, and population based growth analysis over large gestational age ranges. Results and examples of applying techniques for structural and diffusion imaging in normal and clinically abnormal cohorts from the UW fetal brain database studies will be included.
