New PhD student
Seyed Mohammad Jafari received his master’s degree in Communication Multimedia Engineering (CME) from Electrical Engineering Department at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined the Pattern Recognition Lab in June 2020 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier. He is also a Siemens Healthineers employee since April 2019.
His focus will be on Deep Learning-based Motion Estimation and Compensation for Radiation Therapy in cooperation with Strahlenklinik of Uni-Klinikums Erlangen under supervision of Prof. Christoph Bert. His research interests lie in embedded system design, ill-posed problems and deep learning.
