New PhD student
Kai Packhäuser received his Master’s degree in Medical Engineering, branch of Medical Image and Data Processing, from Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined the Pattern Recognition Lab in December 2020 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier. The research project focuses on the re-identification capabilities of deep learning techniques on medical data sets and the associated concerns in terms of data privacy and data security. Kai’s research interests lie in the application of deep learning approaches to medical data.
