Abstract: This talk provides an overview of Yixing’s previous research projects on AI for radiation oncology. It includes applications in limited-angle tomography, field-of-view extension, perspective distortion correction, brain metastases autosegmentation, LLM-based treatment decision support, and survival prognosis for cancer patients. Afterward, a brief introduction to the Institute of Medical Technology, Peking University, is provided, followed by an introduction to a major research project on the applications of brain extracellular space.
Short Bio: Yixing Huang is currently an Assistant Professor and Full Research Professor at the Institute of Medical Technology, Peking University Health Science Center. He received his B.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Peking University in 2013, an M.S. in Medical Engineering from the FAU Pattern Recognition Lab (PRL) in 2016, and a Ph.D. from PRL in 2020. He was a postdoctoral researcher on the ERC project for one year at PRL. From April 2021 to August 2024, he served as a leading computer scientist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at University Hospital Erlangen, FAU. His research interests include medical image processing and radiation oncology, with a particular focus on CBCT reconstruction and brain metastases autosegmentation.
